Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister for ICT Division, delivered a keynote on the second day of Huawei APAC Digital Innovation Congress 2022 on May 22.
In his keynote, titled ‘Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh: Developing an Innovative Nation’ he has pointed out the smart Bangladesh vision of 2041 and growth opportunities for Bangladesh in the next 20 years.
During the keynote presentation, he said: “We have achieved Digital Bangladesh Vision 2021, now our goal is to become a Smart Bangladesh – an innovative, knowledge-based advanced economy by 2041. The Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041 has set specific targets for different indicators. We aim to reach a per capita income of $12,500 from $2,594 today, making Bangladesh the 23rd largest economy in the world by 2041.
He also mentioned: “Over the next 20 years Bangladesh will have to cope with rapid transformational shifts in agriculture, education, health, transportation, communication and in the way we work and conduct businesses. I believe that the Huawei APAC Digital Innovation Conference is a platform to bring the Asia Pacific regional partners together to discuss how we can collaborate to innovate in this era of 4IR. And will need global ICT service and solutions providers like Huawei to achieve that.”
The state minister also shared: “With Huawei’s leading Cloud Solution, BCC has built this National e-Government Cloud, and its National Digital Foundation Platform with unified cloud infrastructure for our national Sovereignty and Security.”
Till now BCC Cloud has served 30+ departments and organizations, hosted 50+ projects, reduced Bangladesh IT investment two times, and improved Bangladesh IT delivery efficiency by 30%.
Some important projects like the Integrated budget and account System for the Ministry of Finance, Vaccine System, Bangladesh’s e-government ERP Project, and Govt. Meeting systems have been done with BCC Cloud.
